Linux installtion

We choose Ubuntu distribution to setup our cloud. Ubuntu is the leading Linux's distribution in usecase of desktop and server. Canonical the producer of Ubuntu is also one of the chief maintainer of Open Stack too. Ubuntu is widely used by programmers and system adminestrators around the world and our team was more familiar with this distribution.

As we mentioned in chapter 2 we have 20 nodes for starting our cloud and this number will grow. Installing operating system one by one is a pain in the neck and bigger environments that wouldn't be feasible.

Clonezilla

Clonezilla is a free disk cloning, disk imaging, data recovery, and deployment computer program. Clonezilla copies the contents of a hard drive for transfer to another storage medium, such as another computer's hard drive or a removable medium, such as a DVD or a USB drive. So with Clonezilla we are able to setup our environment and install our dependencies only once and then clone it to other machines.

Setup first machine

Very first step is to setup the machine you want to make clone from. You must know what you exactly want, so don't do this at the beginning of the project.

After installing Ubuntu with configuration mentioned at chapter 4 we need to install and configure OpenStack.
